MetaTag Analyser

You'd be amazed at how many larger companies don't have adequate metatags behind their sites! (Metatags are the coding that the search engines use to decide how to index your site) And just becasue you may be a smaller business, doesn't mean you can't play like a professional! Good metatags can have a big influence on how much credibility you have with search engines and therefore, where you will be ranked. The first thing to do is to analyse your metatags, and this can be done very easily using a simple tool that is available here. Simply type in your URL, and the metatag analyser will give you a brief report on your current metatags, alng with some excellent but simple suggestions. Then, if your tags aren't up to scratch, use their little 'Metatag Builder' to create 'search engine friendly' metatags. Then give the code to your developer (or do it yourself - it's dead easy!) and in about five minutes you can improve the way the search engines critique your site! It all helps in the bid for better SEO, and it always begins with the basics! Enjoy Helen
